Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose CAS 9004-32-4 is a water-soluble cellulose ether, also known as CMC or cellulose gum, with repeat-unit formula [C6H7O2(OH)x(OCH2COONa)y]n.

Synonyms: Cellulose Gum; Sodium CMC; Carboxymethyl cellulose sodium salt; CMC-Na; E466; Carmellose sodium.
