Applications and grade selection

2-Ethylhexanol Ethoxylates are screened for dynamic wetting, detergency, emulsification, solubilization and foam control in cleaners, textile auxiliaries, coatings, inks, metal treatment and agrochemical formulations. The CAS number alone does not identify an EH-158 or other supplier-specific grade.

• Specify the nominal EO level or an approved reference grade before comparing prices or samples.
• Measure wetting and foam under the actual concentration, water hardness, pH, electrolyte, temperature and process conditions.
• Do not transfer one grade’s HLB, cloud point, solubility or physical form to every product under the shared CAS number.

Storage and handling

Keep containers closed in a dry, ventilated area and follow the exact-grade temperature limits. If viscosity or physical form changes with temperature, condition and mix only as directed by the supplier before representative sampling.

Safety, documentation and procurement

Use the current SDS for PPE, incompatibilities, transport, spill response and disposal. A quotation request should identify nominal EO, test methods and acceptance limits, application, reference COA, sample and annual quantity, package and destination.
