PEG 600 Dioleate (CAS 9005-07-6, EC/List 618-407-2) is a commercial nonionic ester surfactant produced from nominal PEG 600 and oleic acid. PEG 400 Dioleate is a related grade with a lower nominal PEG chain length; selection should follow the offered specification. The grade contains a distribution of polyethylene-glycol chain lengths and ester species, so it has no single fixed molecular formula and should not be described by a single 99% purity value. It is used as an emulsifier, lubricant, dispersing aid and defoamer component in metalworking fluids, textile processing, paper, coatings, polymer and agrochemical formulations. Buyers should match acid value, saponification value, hydroxyl value, water, appearance, iodine value, HLB or dispersion behavior and application performance against the current TDS and batch COA.
