Emulsifiers and surfactants control interfacial behavior in personal care, household cleaning, textile, agricultural, coating, and industrial formulations. Available materials include alcohol ethoxylates, alkyl polyglucosides, betaines, amine oxides, sulfosuccinates, quaternary ammonium compounds, castor oil ethoxylates, and fatty amine derivatives. Product selection should consider HLB or ionic character, active content, cloud point, electrolyte tolerance, pH, temperature, and compatibility with the remaining formulation.
