Product Introduction

Dimethyl Terephthalate (DMT) (CAS 120-61-6) is supplied as a crystalline aromatic diester for DMT-based polyester manufacture. We offer DMT to producers running a transesterification route with a glycol feed; it is a process raw material, not a finished polymer or additive. Where a plant uses direct PTA esterification instead, that process route is confirmed before material is offered.

Applications

PET manufacture for fibre, film, container plastics and selected specialty-polyester grades using DMT.
PBT production with 1,4-butanediol for engineering-polyester resin manufacture.
