Product Introduction

Alkyl Ketene Dimer (AKD Wax) (CAS 144245-85-2) is supplied as the wax raw material used to prepare neutral and alkaline paper-sizing emulsions. We offer AKD Wax for paper and paperboard producers using internal or surface-sizing systems. The offered wax is identified separately from a finished AKD sizing emulsion, because the emulsion solids and formulation are not the same product.

AKD Wax Grade and Supply

We confirm the required AKD content, acid value, iodine value, melting range, physical form and any specified residual-solvent limit for the intended emulsification route. AKD Wax is normally offered as pale-yellow flakes, beads or granules in 25 kg bags or bulk bags. A batch COA, with the applicable TDS and SDS, is available for the offered grade.
