Tallow Amine Ethoxylate CAS 61791-26-2, also called polyethoxylated tallow amine, is an ethoxylated tallow alkyl amine with the formula C18H39N(OC2H4)n and EINECS 500-153-8.

The standard 15EO grade is a yellowish liquid to semi-solid paste with Hazen color not more than 400.

pH (1% aqueous) is about 8.0-10.5, HLB about 12-14, and cloud point about 70-85 °C (1% in 5% NaCl).

It is soluble in water at about 10EO and above, and soluble in polar organic solvents.

In agrochemical adjuvants it is a primary surfactant and spreader in herbicide formulations to improve biological efficacy.

In textile and leather chemicals it is a leveling agent, lubricant, and antistatic in fiber processing and leather finishing.
