Product Description

Product Introduction

Calcium Chloride Anhydrous (CAS 10043-52-4; CaCl₂) is supplied as a dry, hygroscopic calcium chloride grade for moisture control, brine preparation and industrial process use. We distinguish this product from calcium chloride dihydrate (CAS 10035-04-8), hydrated flakes and liquid brine before quotation, because the water content, assay basis and commercial form are different.

Applications

  • Industrial drying of gases, hydrocarbon streams and compatible process systems specifying anhydrous calcium chloride.
  • Calcium chloride brine make-up for selected drilling, completion and industrial-process systems.
  • Refrigeration and process-temperature brine preparation where the approved grade calls for CaCl₂.
  • Chemical, mineral-processing and water-treatment formulations requiring a dry calcium chloride source.
  • Bulk industrial formulations specifying pellet or granular anhydrous calcium chloride rather than hydrated flakes or liquid brine.

Grade and Supply Details

We confirm the required CaCl₂ basis, particle-size range, water-insoluble matter, relevant impurity limits and stated test method against the intended use. The offered material is normally white pellets, mini-pellets or granules in 25 kg moisture-barrier bags or 1000 kg lined FIBCs. A batch COA, with the applicable TDS and SDS, is available for the offered material.

FAQ - Technical & Supply Chain

  • Q:

Is Calcium Chloride Anhydrous the same as Calcium Chloride Dihydrate?

A: No. This product is anhydrous Calcium Chloride, CAS 10043-52-4. Calcium Chloride Dihydrate has CAS 10035-04-8 and a different water-of-crystallization and assay basis; they should not be substituted without formulation review.
  • Q:

Which Calcium Chloride form is described on this page?

A: This page refers to anhydrous Calcium Chloride in pellet or granular form. Hydrated flakes and liquid calcium chloride solutions require their own concentration, physical-form and application specifications.
