Ethyl Acrylate is a related lower-alkyl acrylate for copolymer design. It is selected during polymer manufacture, not added as a finished coating or adhesive. Methyl Acrylate (MA) (CAS 96-33-3) is a stabilized acrylic monomer for polymer manufacture and chemical synthesis. The listed material is used as a reactive feedstock in acrylic copolymer routes for industrial resins and binders; it is not Methyl Methacrylate and is not a finished coating, adhesive or polymer dispersion.

    Is Methyl Acrylate the same as Methyl Methacrylate?

    A: No. They are distinct acrylic monomers with different chemical structures. Methyl Acrylate should be used only where it is specified in the intended copolymer formulation; a name-based substitution can change the manufacturing outcome.

    Is Methyl Acrylate directly added to a coating or adhesive?

    A: No. MA is normally introduced during polymer manufacture. The resulting acrylic resin or dispersion is then formulated into coating, paper-treatment, fibre-processing or adhesive systems according to the required finished-product design.
