Product Description

Benzyl arsinic acid

Also known as benzyl arsenic acid

Molecular formula C6H5CH2A sO(OH)2

Assay ≥ 98%

Molecular weight 216.08

Properties Off-white powder, odorless, chemically stable, non-deliquescence

Solubility Soluble in hot water or alkaline solution, can form insoluble compounds with a variety of metal ions.

Storage Waterproof, sunproof, and fireproof.

Usage:

Benzyl arsenic acid is used as a collector in the flotation of cassiterite, black tungsten ore and rare earth ore, and is also a collector for flotation of a variety of metal oxide ores.

The mass fraction is more than 80%, containing a small amount of inorganic salts such as sodium chloride and sodium sulfate, and less than 1% inorganic arsenic. Benzyl arsenic acid is slightly acidic in water, and stepwise ionization produces H+ and benzyl arsenic acid.

The effects of benzyl arsenic acid and black tungstenite are chemisorption and chemical reaction to salt formation. Under acidic conditions, benzyl arsenic acid exists in the form of H2B2-. Under alkaline conditions, benzyl arsenic acid exists in the form of B2-. It exists in the form of HB- within pH 4~9. It can be floated at pH 4~9. At this time, benzyl arsenic acid reacts with black tungsten in the form of HB-.

It is used as a collector in the flotation of cassiterite, black tungsten ore and rare earth ore, and is also a collector for flotation of a variety of metal oxide ores.

FAQ - Technical & Supply Chain

  • Q:

How is the selective performance of Benzylarsonic Acid verified for tin ore flotation?

A: The technical identity is confirmed via CAS 618-45-1, and its efficacy is typically measured by its recovery coefficient in acidic pulp conditions, ensuring the precise separation of cassiterite from silicate impurities in industrial mining circuits.
  • Q:

Is Benzylarsonic Acid suitable for use in the flotation of wolframite ores?

A: Yes, this material is commonly applied as a specialized collector for tungsten-containing minerals due to its strong affinity for metallic crystal lattices, intended for professional industrial mineral processing rather than general laboratory research.
