Product Description

Antioxidant 1076 (AO-1076) CAS 2082-79-3 is octadecyl 3-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)propionate, with molecular formula C35H62O3.

Synonyms: Antioxidant 1076; AO-1076; octadecyl 3-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)propionate; stearyl 3-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)propionate.

CAS: 2082-79-3.

Molecular formula: C35H62O3.

It is supplied as powder or granules.

It is used as a hindered phenolic primary antioxidant in polymers and formulated materials.

It is used in polyolefin compounding, engineering plastics, elastomers and adhesive systems.

It is also used in masterbatch and stabilizer packages with phosphite secondary antioxidants.

Performance depends on the resin, processing temperature, use level, colour requirement and secondary-antioxidant compatibility.

Grades are selected by assay, melting range, volatiles and ash.

Antioxidant 1076 is not the same molecule as Antioxidant 1010.

Confirm assay, melting range, volatiles, ash, colour, particle form and packaging.

For purchasing, specify the intended polymer, required grade, particle form and stabilizer-package requirements.

Keep containers closed and follow the current SDS for storage and handling.

Use suitable PPE and exposure controls when handling the material.

Confirm assay, melting range, volatiles, ash and colour on the COA.

Confirm grade, packaging, and specification as required.

The page is an RFQ entry point and does not state stock, price, MOQ, or fixed lead time.

For an RFQ, state the intended application, required grade, quantity, packaging, destination, and document needs.

FAQ - Technical & Supply Chain

  • Q:

Is Antioxidant 1076 the same as Antioxidant 1010?

A: No. Both are hindered phenolic primary antioxidants, but they are different molecules with different molecular weights, melting behaviour and formulation response. The polymer, processing temperature, loading level and compatibility target should decide which antioxidant is specified.
  • Q:

Can Antioxidant 1076 be used together with Antioxidant 168?

A: Yes, it is often evaluated with phosphite secondary antioxidants in polymer stabilizer packages. The suitable ratio depends on resin type, processing temperature, colour target, aging requirement and the rest of the additive system.
  • Q:

What should be checked for an Antioxidant 1076 shipment?

A: Assay, melting range, volatiles, ash, colour or transmittance, particle form, packaging and storage condition should be confirmed. The batch COA should match the agreed test methods used for the polymer qualification.
